Chemistry 1130: Inorganic Chemistry

This course covers an introduction to inorganic chemistry, including symmetry, molecular orbital theory, bonding, solid state chemistry, hard-soft acid/base interactions, and a survey of transition metal and organometallic chemistry.

Chemistry 1140: Advanced Inorganic Laboratory Spring 2018, 2019, 2020 This course covers a hands-on advanced laboratory, synthesizing metallocene complexes, multiple metal-metal bonds, liquid electron solutions, metal-organic frameworks, and nanoparticles.

Chemistry 1620: Atoms, Molecules and Materials Fall 2017, 2018, 2019 This course is designed to enable senior-level undergraduates and graduate level students to understand the scope, tools, and scientific principles of materials chemistry, nanoscience and nanotechnology.

Chemistry 2110: Chemical Symmetry: Applications in Spectroscopy and Bonding

This course covers molecular symmetry, including group theory, 3D point groups, molecular vibrations, vibrational spectroscopy, molecular orbitals and electronic spectroscopy — all from the perspective of symmetry.
